The Carrier
Support turns into weight.
How this pattern works
My system moves towards responsibility. I see what needs taking care of, and I take it on before anyone asks. My support is real. But somewhere along the way, support becomes carrying. And carrying becomes weight. I put things down last, if I put them down at all.
One moment, up close
I see what needs doing, and I step in quietly. No one asked. Someone has to.
Even when I sit down, part of me stays on duty.
People call me the strong one. They rarely ask how heavy it is.
The load
Everything taken on, one at a time
None of it is heavy on its own. It never is. The weight is in the never putting down. And notice the line: it does not break. It just quietly learns to live bent.
Where this began
Once, holding things together kept things safe. A child who took care of what needed taking care of was a child who kept the ground steady under everyone.
The pattern never stopped holding. Even long after anyone needed it to.
The rest of this pattern
There is more. It is written for the person who carries it.
A pattern reads differently when it is yours. The full reading covers everything in this stack, and it only really lands when it is speaking to you.

Nothing here is hidden to tease you. It is held back because a pattern description in general terms is information, and the same words, written to you, are recognition. The second one is the point.
