The seven patterns
Everyone carries all seven.
One of them speaks first.
These are not seven kinds of people. They are seven capacities every person has: to understand, to keep peace, to carry, to act, to guide, to connect, to improve. A life needs all of them.
What differs is which one moves before you have decided anything. When you are tired, or hurt, or responsible, or unsure. That one has been running a long time, and it is usually the last thing you would think to look at.

None of these is
the wrong one to be
Every one of them started as something that worked. A child who could see what might go wrong was never caught off guard. A child who kept the room calm was safe. A child who carried things was needed.
Nothing here is a flaw with a nicer name. The difficulty is never the capacity. It is that the capacity stopped being able to stop.
Seven, side by side, none louder than the others. That is not usually how it feels from the inside.
